We have offered a warm welcome to many Stag parties, either groups of friends and relatives keen for a weekend of walking and outdoors exploration or a weekend gathering for the traditional pre-wedding male bonding. We welcome any group where the focus is on friendship and time together indoors and outside, rather than prioritising connection over alcohol. Our request is that you respect our space.
The house offers a wide choice of accommodation with space for 14 sleeping in eleven beds in six bedrooms. You will enjoy the wide variety of indoor spaces, the large kitchen for cooking your group meal together, the large dining table to sit around and of course our fabulous views which draw the most comments form guests. You will find our lovely gardens are secluded and the private terraces open onto the stunning views of rolling Yorkshire countryside and are a great location for a BBQ or sitting round our fire pit. There are also many great things to do while you are here including dozens of great country scenic walks strategy from our front door!
Private Suite for the Guest of Honour
Your guest of honour can choose to stay in our unique first floor suite in the New Building called the Panorama Penthouse. Enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and the sunrise from the large, comfortable lounge. There is an en-suite bathroom and double bedroom (Goldfinch). We have recently added a smart, discreet kitchen here (ready January 2021) so that is an added feature of this stunning area.

So many choices! Being close to Skipton, and surrounded by local villages, each with a traditional Yorkshire pub, you are spoilt for choice! Here are our top 5 recommendations for eating out, we have chosen our absolute favourites!
22 The Square (8-minute drive) An Italian Restaurant with the most delicious plates around, conveniently located in the nearby village of Crosshills. There is also a cocktail bar downstairs, perfect!
The Tempest Arms (10-minute drive) A 17th Century Inn, located in Elslack, and renowned for serving a luscious menu and huge portions.
The Dog & Gun Inn (8-minute drive) A large, traditional Yorkshire Pub with an extensive menu, situated in the nearby village of Glusburn in the Malsis area.
Mastabs (14-minute drive) Indian Restaurant, small and friendly and full of delicious Indian meals, located on the high street in Skipton. Yorkshire is known for its fantastic Indian food and Bradford has been called the ‘Curry Capital of Britain’ having won that crown for six years and even hosted the World Curry Festival.
Alexanders Grand Café Bar and Terrace (16-minute drive) On Skipton High Street, located close to the castle, the most beautiful restaurant and bar with beautiful outside terraced seating at the back overlooking the canal. Stunning food, location and restaurant.
