This beautiful old house hidden away in a private woodland has been lovingly designed to be a nurturing haven of peace. The nature reserve garden has been tended for over half a century and the hilltop location provides the most appreciated feature of the house… the spectacular views. We’ve welcomed friends and guests from all over the world and invariably they say they don’t want to leave.
The original small house is over 700 years old and has been added to over the centuries. In 1999 the hay barn was converted to a luxury living space. A few years later the outhouses were expanded to create a majestic new building providing panoramic views. We can now accommodate 16 people in twelve beds in six bedrooms with six bathrooms and six reception rooms. The home is a calm oasis perfect for retreats, joyful gatherings, intimate weddings and country holidays.
Best-selling author Gina Lazenby used this house for her ground-breaking research into feng shui and the publication of her first book The Feng Shui House Book. Then the sensitive renovation and imaginative building work became the inspiration for
her third book The Healthy Home. The loving design, attention to detail and natural interior has attracted much interest and TV coverage.
The house is a quirky one-off but the experience of being here is one of comfort and relaxation with the minimum of intrusive electromagnetic disturbances and modern toxic chemicals. “The creativity and originality dazzles. Every detail sparks relaxation and connection”. SB
